TONIGHT: Scattered showers will come to a brief end tonight with partly cloudy skies expected. A slow-moving cold front is creating a line of showers and storms stretching from southwest Minnesota to the eastern part of Canada. The cold front has passed over most of the Northland earlier today which will bring cooler weather for most of northern Minnesota. Lows will fall to the mid to upper 50s with winds coming from the north-northeast between 5-10 mph. The cold front will linger into Sunday creating another chance for more rain and storms for mainly Wisconsin.

SUNDAY: To finish off the weekend, it will be similar to Saturday with partly cloudy skies and more chances of showers by late afternoon. One thing that’ll be different is winds will change to the east-northeast between 10-20 mph gusting up to 30 mph at times. This will cause lake towns like Duluth to be much cooler than inland towns. Highs near the lake will be in the lower 60s and highs away from the lake will be closer to the 70s. The last round of showers and storms will mainly impact Wisconsin by Sunday night, but no severe weather is expected. Lows will fall to the lower 50s and upper 40s.

MONDAY: Early showers are possible on Monday, but it’ll focus for Wisconsin. Once the cold front moves far enough away, high pressure from Canada will bring days upon days of beautiful weather for the Northland. Mostly sunny skies are forecasted for Monday with warmer weather in the lower to mid 70s. Winds will be calmer from the north-northwest between 3-6 mph. The weather on Monday will be the theme for most of the week as high pressure stalls over the northern United States creating a summer week ahead.
