Trail Report from Get-Er-Done Club:

“The Get-Er-Done Club of Gordon is a Snowmobile and ATV Club. We are the newest Club in Douglas County and members of the Northwest Trails Association. Since we were formed 14 years ago, we have built and maintained 20 Miles of Summer ATV Trails and 50 miles of Winter Trails with the support of our 200+ members. Our Summer ATV Trail # 217 winds through the east side of Gordon and connects the Wild River trail with the Eau Claire Lakes and Bayfield county trails to the east with several nice stops along the way. With the recent rain, the dust on the trails should be minimal with a few puddles along the way. We are looking at another great weather weekend here in Gordon! So come on down and Ride Safe!”

Trail Report from Elk Country ATV Club:

“We are located in Clam Lake, WI in the heart of the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest. Trails are great with the rain to create water holes and to hold down the dust. Riders can expect scenic trails or if they want more of a challenging trail they can ride the Dead Horse trail from Clam Lake to Loretta about 63 miles of wooded riding. You can ride from clam lake to lake superior or take the tri-county corridor to Ashland. ATVing has endless possibilities riding out of clam lake. There are places to stay in and around clam lake. We are a small club and are always looking for new members to help the club. Our biggest fundraiser is our annual ice fishing contest the 3rd weekend of January.”

Gogebic County, MI- On July 23, the Gogebic Range Trail Authority set up the new community warming shelter. Called the “Bald Mountain Memorial Trail TeePee Warming Shelter” the club plans to host an official dedication ceremony on August 20. Over the past year club members have put in hundreds of volunteer hours to clear the site, build the teepee and set it up.
