“The Oregon Trail” leads to Duluth for weekend performances
DULUTH, MN. (CBS 3 Duluth) - Three years after the original production, Trail to Oregon is back in Duluth for weekend performances.
Based on the computer game, Trail to Oregon details the bizarre and hilarious misadventures of a dysfunctional family as they travel down the Oregon Trail.
“They should expect to see some Easter eggs poking fun at that and the different mechanics of the game, but also just this big wacky dysfunctional family road trip in 1848 trying to make it to Oregon,” Director Katie Keller said.
Each night, the audience gets to name the members of the cast and vote between five endings for the show.
“It almost feels like you’re going out for a night of improv, so if you are into that definitely you will like this show,” Haley Methner, an actor in the play, said.
There are four more showings of “The Trail to Oregon.”
That is this Thursday and Friday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 10:30 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m.
Performances take place at Zeitgeist Theater in Downtown Duluth.
