Ironwood, MI- Residents will see a road closure for the next few weeks. Tuesday, July 26, Douglas Blvd, also called Business Hwy 2, closed at the E Francis St. intersection. The road is closed while crews perform underground water and storm sewer upgrades. The recommended detour includes Ayer St and Lake Street. The expected project time is about two to three weeks.

St. Louis County, MN- There are just a few days left to sign up your little one for the fair pageant. The St. Louis County fair is the first weekend in August. The Little Miss and Mr. St. Louis County Fair pageant covers ages 1 through 6 with 5 divisions crowning winners. One little boy or girl will be selected for a trophy and cash prizes will go to the second and third. Registration is due Saturday, July 30.

Cloquet, MN- It was an important morning at the Fond du Lac Tribal Chambers as they held a swearing-in ceremony for more police officers. The Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the Band’s Police Department welcomed three police officers and Chief of Police. The Chief of Police is Mel Barney. The three new officers are Officer Joe Defoe, Officer Antonio Sarazua and Officer James Stracek.
