Cloquet, MN - The city’s Artists on Main Street program received $30,000 from the Bush Foundation to explore how art addresses the challenges that face Main Street communities. The program focuses on revitalizing Cloquet’s Historic West End Business District through art. Projects include a pop-up film night, drive-by galleries, youth puppet theatre and a supersized paint-by-number.

Hayward, WI - The Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe Community College announced the creation of the Lakshmi Gurusamy Memorial Scholarship. The family has committed $5,000 to award five $1,000 scholarships over the next five fall semesters. Scholarships awarded to Lac Courte Oreilles students reduce the financial barriers and helps the college provide post-secondary education to Anishinaabe communities and continue to advance Ojibwe culture.

Winter, WI - The town of Winter is hosting its first-ever Farm and Craft Market. Vendors will display their homemade goods in addition to fresh produce. The event is led by a group of volunteers who hope to make the resources more accessible to those of all ages. Additionally living in a rural community they wanted to create a space closer to home for fresh goods. The event is still open to vendors and they hope to grow to allow for fundraisers during the market as well. The Winter Farm and Craft Market runs from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Fridays at Doc Smith Park.
