SUPERIOR, WI -- A local veterans center spent the holiday giving the community a lesson in our nation’s history.

It’s an educational program, featuring actors posing as Presidents Theodore and Franklin D. Roosevelt.

They discussed everything from their involvement in World War II and the Spanish American War to discussing how those events changed our nation for years to come.
“It’s very important for us to know our history and of course very very important to know how we got into a war and how we had to fight very hard to keep our freedoms,” Gary Stamm, a reenactor portraying President Franklin D. Roosevelt, said.
Both reenactors put on two performances each Monday.
