Know before you go: Heavy traffic, limited parking ahead of July 4 celebrations in Duluth
DULUTH, MN-- For those headed to town for July 4 celebrations, there will be limited parking, and travelers should expect extra walking.
The City of Duluth will host the Annual Fourth Fest Celebrations at Bayfront park and say there will be limited parking close to the park.
Duluth Police say as traffic increases during the afternoon, spectators should consider parking downtown and walking to Bayfront.
Starting at 6 p.m., Harbor Drive behind the DECC will close to traffic to accommodate pedestrians.
Police say following the fireworks vehicles in the Canal Park and Park Point area should expect long delay, and access to Canal Park and Park Point areas will be restricted for approximately one hour after the fireworks have ended.
Police and DECC officials also remind spectators Cans, bottles, coolers, and pets are not allowed in Bayfront during Fourth Fest.
