Superior, WI- Cenovus Energy and Enbridge Energy donated a total of $90,000 to Northwood Technical College’s new mobile welding lab. The lab will allow students to gain hands-on skills from anywhere. The mobile welding lab trailer was secured through an earlier grant but funding didn’t allow for power. This latest donation will be used to purchase a generator for the lab.

Itasca County, MN- A local organization is looking to honor volunteers. ElderCircle, a non-profit serving older adults in Koochiching and Itasca counties, is taking nominations for the “Itasca County Outstanding Volunteerism Award”. Nominations can be submitted for individuals, groups or organizations. Two winners will be chosen based on several criteria, such as their compassion, initiative, mentorship skills, commitment and more.

Red Cliff, WI- Local elections are on July 5. Positions on the General Election ballot include Vice Chair Person, Secretary and At-Large representative. Two of the nine candidates for At-Large will be chosen. Those chosen to serve will be sworn in on July 16.
