Cable, WI -- The Cable’s Natural History Museum has gotten a new addition. A pavilion was built at the Museum’s Wayside Wanderings Natural Play Area. It has been named “Wake Robin,” a common name for Trillium. The three petals represent wonder, discovery, and responsibility from the Museum’s mission statement. It will serve as a large, dry, and bug-free assembly room at Wayside Wanderings, providing opportunity for programs limited by the layout of the Museum’s current public spaces.

Cloquet, MN -- Join the Carlton County Master Gardeners for some outdoor learning and fun Tuesday at 10 a.m. Children and their caregivers will learn about butterflies and pollinator flowers, enjoy a story and a snack. Each child will get supplies to take home and raise their own caterpillars and watch them grow through the life cycle. Participants will gain strategies to engage kids and support learning and receive hands-on activities and a book to take home. If you are interested in the benefits of your little kiddo getting outdoors. Spots are still open for this free event.

Iron River, WI -- Beginning July 5, the Michigan Department of Transportation is resurfacing 6.5 miles of M-180 from the Wisconsin and Michigan state line to north of Hiawatha road in the cities of Caspian and Iron River. Drivers should expect intermittent single-lane closures with traffic regulators. Work is expected to wrap up on September 16.
