Lake County -- MN, The Grand Opening of the Alger Grade OHM Trail is Friday, June 24th. The Dirt bike only trail is 14 miles long and is located just north of Alger Grade near Lake County Highway 2. The trail begins and ends on the Wild Country ATV trail. Opening ceremonies took place Friday afternoon and riders can hit the trail starting Saturday, June 25th.

Cook County -- MN,

You can join Cook County ATV Club for a ride this Saturday. It is their first event of the season. People will gather at Skyport Lodge on Devil Track Lake at 1 p.m. for a information meeting on memberships, then have the chance to join in on a big ride.

The 70 miles of Cook County trails are more scenic than challenging with a mix of rugged forest roads traveling through maple stands and pine forests.

As a reminder, always check with the club and DNR before making the trip north!

Wisconsin --

The Wisconsin DNR is reminding ATV and UTV drivers to follow safety best practices. Some tips to having safe fun are:

Keep your speed in check for the terrain, wear protective clothing like eye protection, gloves, and seatbelts. Also, keep in mind that some terrain in Wisconsin is too steep for ATV or UTV riding. So, be careful while traversing hills or uneven terrain.
