Man airlifted after Rice Lake house fire

RICE LAKE, MN. (KBJR) - A man was airlifted to a hospital with severe burns after a house fire Wednesday evening in Rice Lake.
According to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office, a fire broke out around 6:30 p.m. on the 3900 block of W. Tischer Rd.
Deputies say they arrived to find a 33-year-old man lying on the deck of the house with severe burns throughout his body.
The victim, Myles Summers was moved to the backyard as the flames overtook the home.
He was taken to Essentia in Duluth and then airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center.
Authorities say he remains in critical condition.
The cause of the fire is under investigation but is not believed to be suspicious.
