Washburn, WI- The Washburn Farmer’s Market returns on June 8. The weekly event will run every Wednesday from 3-6 p.m. The market is held on Central Avenue between The Club and The Washburn Cultural Center. Not only will there be fresh produce, but handmade arts and craft vendors will also be on site. The Washburn Farmer’s Market runs through October 12.

Bayfield, WI- On June 8, the Bayfield County Board will host a joint meeting with the Red Cliff Tribal Council for the first time since 2015. The meeting will feature several presentations including recognition of the collaboration of public health efforts between the county and tribe. The two groups will also discuss a joint proclamation protecting water resources.

Biwabik, MN- An update for residents dealing with the wavy main street. MnDOT is monitoring the stretch of Highway 135 and plans to correct the road. They are currently inspecting the sewer and storm sewer for any utility damage. A plan will be created as conditions dictate and temporary patches may be placed to maintain safety. The state is working closely with the city to help with the upcoming 4th of July celebration. A permanent correction could start this summer and will be finalized in 2023. There will be no cost to the city for these corrections.
