Mille Lacs Lake, MN- This summer, one popular lake will see several changes to its walleye regulations. This is the last week anglers can keep one walleye between 21-23 inches or one over 28. Walleye will then be catch-and-release for the month of June. Then, for the first two weeks of July, a closure will be in place, aimed at reducing hooking mortality, during that time angling will be allowed for other species but artificial lures must be used, no minnows, night crawlers, leeches or other live bait may be used. Catch-and-release will resume in mid-July and the one-fish limit will begin in September.
