Cloquet, MN- Time to think about motorcycle safety. In Cloquet, the Christian Motorcycle Association Aurora Knights will be sponsoring a Biker Awareness event this Saturday, May 21. The community is welcome from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be brats for sale to eat. The event is in the parking lot close to the Premiere Theater.

Chisholm, MN- With The Wall that Heals coming to Chisholm this summer they are also offering the In Memory program. It’s a chance to honor Vietnam vets who passed after returning home from war. A special program will be held while the wall is in town. If you’d like to get your loved one’s name on the list, do so by Friday. The In Memory program also offers a trip to the In Memory weekend in Washington D.C., a Tribute certificate and more.

National Parks- At the end of 2021, the Veterans in Parks Act was passed, extending annual free park passes for vets to lifetime passes for veterans and Gold Star Families. The National Parks Service told us the passes won’t be available until later this year but families can still use the annual military passes. Visit their website to see if you are eligible.
