City by City: Iron Range, Hibbing, Superior
Iron Range- An annual program is returning this summer. On June 6, the United Way of Northeastern Minnesota will once again host its summer meal program called Meet Up and Chow Down. The program provides free lunches to all children up to 18 years old. Volunteers and United Way staff will pass out meals from noon to 1 p.m. Monday through Thursday at eight locations across, Chisholm, Hibbing, Mountain Iron, Nashwauk and Virginia. The exact locations are:

Hibbing, MN- Starting on Monday, June 6 is the new program “Hibbing on Howard”. Hibbing on Howard is a weekly family-friendly fun night running Mondays in June and July. From 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Howard Street will be blocked off from 3rd to 5th avenue to make room for games, giveaways and food trucks. All ages are invited to the free nights to meet neighbors, community groups, local organizations and just have fun!
Superior, WI- Two members of the Superior Eagles Auxiliary presented the American Legion Post 435 with a check for $1,000. The donation was meant to show appreciation for the legion’s Honor Guard involvement in the community and presentations of military funeral honors. The Legion Post 435 Honor Guard conducts about 70 funeral honors a year in and around superior.
