WEATHER STORY:

Rain from last week was heavy enough to keep a Flood Warning going from International Falls to Ely, Scanlon near the St. Louis River, the Cloquet River from Hunter Lake to Independence plus a stripe of territory from Brainerd to Aitkin. Fair, dry weather through Tuesday will hopefully ease the trouble a bit. More trouble may arrive, though, on Wednesday when another round of rain comes to call which might stick around all the way through next Saturday.

MONDAY NIGHT:

The sky will be clear to partly cloudy. The overnight low temperatures will be within a range of 35-40 degrees. The wind will be N 5-15 mph.

TUESDAY:

High air pressure will build us a pleasant day with a mostly sunny sky. The afternoon high temperatures will be 45-55 by Lake Superior. Inland, they will run 59-63. The wind will be E 5-10 mph.

High pressure will keep things calm through Tuesday but next rain chance arrives Wednesday.

COMING UP:

Thursday will be rainy with low 45 and high 57. Friday will be rainy with low 45 and high 55. Saturday will be showery with low 35 and high 50. Sunday will be mostly sunny with low of 33 and high 55. Next Monday will be partly sunny with low 37 and high 57.
