Biwabik, MN- Residents are encouraged to get out and spring clean this weekend. Homeowners can leave items out on the curb for pick up. City workers will be out Monday, May 16 at 7 a.m. taking the items for disposal. Acceptable items include household appliances, furniture, demolition material and yard compost. Mattresses, box springs and TVs will not be taken.

Bayfield County, WI- Trails are officially open for the season! All ATV and UTV trails reopened Friday, May 13. Leaders with the County Forestry and Parks Department are urging riders to be aware and ride with caution. They say trail conditions are highly variable right now as it’s still early spring. Maintenance crews will be out working and riders are encouraged to report any hazards or damaged trails to crews as soon as possible.

Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, WI- Forest trails also reopened this morning! While the trails are open, forest crews are also asking riders to be aware and watch for damaged or covered trails due to recent storms. They say the more careful riders are in spring the less they have to close for repairs in the summer. Remember to ride safe, protect the forest and be prepared.
