East Central MN faces Tornado Watch until 10 pm and Northwest WI will be affected the watch just as long with a Wind Advisory in place for Iron, Ashland and Gogebic Counties until 8 pm.(CBS 3 DULUTH)

WEATHER STORY:

Our latest low pressure system is working towards the northeast out of South Dakota and it’s morning round of rain brought a quarter inch of precip to a few towns. Monday night, the next round of rain may pack thunderstorms and a Tornado Watch for Aitkin, Burnett, Pine, Washburn and Sawyer Counties until 10 pm. Winds could gust to 50 mph so Gogebic, Iron and Ashland Counties have a Wind Advisory until 8 pm. Tuesday should calm down but another batch of storms could brew up Wednesday night and go through Thursday.

MONDAY NIGHT:

The chance for thunderstorms will be 50-70% and south of Duluth, tornadoes may be imbedded. Have your emergency shelter plan in place! Low temperatures will be 45-50. The wind will be SW 15-25 in MN and SSW 20-50 for WI and MI.

TUESDAY:

The sky will become partly sunny as the low leaves. The afternoon high will be near 65 by Lake Superior. Inland, the readings will be 68-75. The wind will be WSW 5-15 mph.

WEDNESDAY:

The sky will be mostly sunny most of the day but Wednesday evening, a new low will bring back a chance for thunderstorms that will likely linger into Thursday. Wednesday low temp will be 45. The high will be 65. The wind will be E 5-15 mph.

COMING UP:

Thursday will get a 60% storm chance with low 49 and high 73. Friday will be mostly sunny with low 55 and high 73. Saturday will be sunny with low 49 and high 67. Sunday will be partly sunny with scattered showers with a low of 45 and high 60. Next Monday will be partly sunny with showers with low 40 and high 58.
