A fitting way to close April: April Showers
DULUTH, MN. (CBS 3 Duluth) -
Friday: For our Friday, most are looking at mostly cloudy skies prevailing across the region for a good portion of our Friday. There is a shot at some rain showers today, but the rain is scattered and relatively light—temperatures for our Friday warm-up for some. While we are stuck in the 40s closer to the lake, further inland, they make it into the 50s. Those in the southern portion of the region may meet and surpass the 60-degree mark. Tonight, we see more scattered rain showers with temperatures only falling back into the 40s for most, upper 30s closer to the lake.
Saturday: Rain showers are heavier and more numerous for our Saturday. There is even a shot at a rumble of thunder or two through the day but nothing severe. Temperatures for our Saturday climb into the upper 30s closer to the lake while the rest make it into the 40s and 50s further inland. Showers continue Saturday night as temperatures fall back into the upper 30s and the lower 40s.
Sunday: Rain continues for much of Sunday, but it becomes a little more scattered for much of Sunday and lighter. Temperatures climb into the 40s closer to the lake, with 50s further inland. Rain begins to wrap up as we head towards Sunday night. Rain totals for some by then may surpass 1″ of new rain.
Coming Up: The start of may looks like it could usher in warmer temperatures and return to close to average for this time of year. How warm do we get? Meteorologist Peter Kvietkasukas will have the forecast on CBS 3 This Morning.
