Cloudy and cool to start the week
DULUTH, MN. (CBS 3 Duluth) -
Monday: We are talking about a whole lot of clouds for our Monday. Mostly cloudy skies prevail for a good portion of our Monday, with temperatures way below average. The average high for this time of year is 50; today, most only make it into the mid and upper 30s. A few spot snow showers can’t be ruled out, especially along the International Border and the South Shore, thanks to some help from the lake down there. Winds are out of the northwest between 10-15 MPH.
Tonight: Through the overnight hours, clouds once again stick around with a few more spot snow showers here and there, generally one again along the International Border and the South Shore points east of Ashland. All said and done, along the International Border they may pick up 1-2″. The South Shore from points east of Ashland may pick up a few inches thanks to winds off of the lake for them.
Tuesday: We start our Tuesday mainly cloudy, but we see clearing skies through the day, giving way to some sunshine for the evening hours. What we can’t shake is the cooler weather. Temperatures once again only make it into the mid and upper 30s for most across the Northland.
Coming Up: There are signs of a warm-up in the extended forecast. How much? Meteorologist Peter Kvietkauskas will break it all down coming up on CBS 3 This Morning. Join us!
