Vigil for Duluth family lost in murder-suicide set for Sunday
DULUTH, MN. (KBJR) - A vigil is being planned for Sunday to remember the Duluth family killed in a murder-suicide.
The vigil begins at 7:30 p.m. outside the Barry family home.
That’s on 7th Avenue East and 12th Street in the East Hillside neighborhood.
The house will be lit up in Christmas lights, as that was the family’s most cherished time of year.
Those attending are asked to bring a children’s book.
Relatives of the Barry’s plan to donate them, since they all loved to read together.
“This is a really good opportunity for everyone to come together in that hurt and be able to provide the love and caring emotions that we have, and especially that sense of community that Duluth is known for,” said Duluth Public Information Officer Kate Van Daele.
Family and friends hope the vigil will be a chance for people to come together and share loving stories about the Barry’s.
