Tyler Leibfried, 30, was charged with Dangerous Weapons-Intentional Discharge of Firearm That Endangers Safety, which is a felony, and second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon, also a felony.

After several days of testimony, the jury deliberated for about three hours.

They found Leibfried not guilty on both counts.

In September 2020, Leibfried responded to a domestic violence call at a downtown apartment building.

When responding, Leibfried heard a loud bang, which he claimed sounded like gunshots. He fired his weapon through a closed door, striking a Jared Fyle on the other side.

Fyle was treated for a gunshot wound to the shoulder but survived.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
