The South Shore and North Shore look to be a tad cooler by the lake, with temperatures in the upper 30s and lower 40s. Winds are out of the east between 5-10 MPH. Clouds generally increase through the second half of the day, giving way to partly cloudy skies by this evening. Party to mostly cloudy skies stick around through the overnight hours as temperatures fall back into the 30s.
Wednesday: We start off the first the part of Wednesday dry, but as we head towards the mid and later morning hours, rain and snow begins to fill in. it looks like for the most part, most on the Minnesota side of things will start as all snow before turning over to rain through the afternoon and evening. Most of northwest Wisconsin will stay all rain. The rain-snow line progresses further north and east through the aftnoon. Meaning, that the arrowhead region sees the most snow coming in between 4-8″. The Twin Ports is looking at 1-3″ of slushy accumulation before it begins to melt in the rain. Precipitation begins to wrap up Wednesday night.
Thursday: A few spot snow flurries can’t be ruled out on the tail end of the system Thursday morning; otherwise, skies are clearing through the day as temperatures climb into the upper 40s and maybe even some lower 50s.
Coming Up: We are tracking more rain to close out the week. Meteorologist Peter Kvietkauskas will have the forecast on CBS 3 This Morning. Join Us!
