Eye on Lifestyle: Getting back on track after a holiday weekend
DULUTH, MN. (CBS 3 Duluth) - If you overate for Easter dinner or indulged in a little too much Easter candy -- don’t despair!
In this week’s Eye on Lifestyle Nikki Karnowski of Metamorphosis Coaching, Consulting, and Training joined Natalie Grant on CBS 3 This Morning to share some tips to get back on track.
Karnowski said during holidays and festivities, it can be easy to overindulge -- and then many can kind of go through a cycle of guilt and beating themselves up, but really the first thing to get back on track is to let go of the guilt and shame and just commit to starting new.
Some things you can do to change your mindset is to commit to moving and do something you love each day and incorporate little things into your day, like choosing the stairs or parking a little further away from your destination.
You can also add vegetables to your meals or drink more water.
Karnowski said a lot of this has to do with our mindsets and our habits, but it’s truly those small steps over time that add up and equals big results.
