Some showers today, tracking another mid-week mess
DULUTH, MN. (CBS 3 Duluth) -
Today: We are starting off the week with some snow and rain. A majority of snow this morning is centered from the Iron Range points north towards the International Border. Thorugh the rest of the day, snow will turn to rain showers, and those will be hit or miss today. There is a shot some may even hear a rumble of thunder or two today but nothing severe. Temperatures today climb into the upper 40s as well as the lower 50s. Through the overnight hours, mostly cloudy skies prevail as temperatures dip back into the mid and upper 30s.
Tuesday: Tuesday is the start of yet another messy mid-week system. The first half of Tuesday is dry with mostly cloudy skies overhead, but we begin to see rain showers fill in across the Northland as we approach tomorrow afternoon and evening. It looks like the brunt of this system, at first, will be all rain! Temperatures Tuesday climb into the 40s across the Northland.
Wednesday: Rain continues through the majority of our Wednesday. As we head towards Wednesday night and into Thursday, we could see a change from rain to snow across the area. That snow would continue, though at least the first part of our Thursday. It is still too early to talk snow totals quite yet, but the shot of more the 4″ of snow is across the Iron Range and points north with lesser amounts to the south.
Coming Up: Meteroligst Peter Kvietkauskas will be tracking this messy mid-week system and cooler weather on its way on CBS 3 This Morning. Joins us!
