Eye on Lifestyle: Tapping into positive mindsets

DULUTH, MN. (CBS 3 Duluth) - Spring is a time for renewal, new beginnings, and to refresh your mindset.

In this week’s Eye on Lifestyle, Nikki Karnowski of Metamorphosis Coaching, Consulting, and Training joined Natalie Grant to share helpful hints about keeping track of your mindset.

“We often think of renewing our spaces and places, but taking inventory of where we are in our thought life can be so helpful and provide a great opportunity for personal transformation,” said Karnowski.

According to Karnowski, the first step is to make time and space for yourself.

Some ways to accomplish this are to set aside distractions like your phone or social media, find a space to think where you feel inspired and get out in nature.

These tips can help to ground us and gain new perspectives.

Karnowski says it is also important to take an inventory of where you are in life right now by asking yourself the following questions:

-What is going well in my life?

-What needs to improve?

-What is it I really want and why?

-What is holding me back from moving forward?

-What is ONE thing I can do to walk towards that?

Once you assess what is holding you back -- it’s essential to identify limiting beliefs that may be roadblocks.

According to Karnowski, if we can’t identify those things and become self-aware, it’s very hard to change those things.
