Snow wraps up for most Thursday
DULUTH, MN. (CBS 3 Duluth) -
Today: For the first part of our day, snow and wintery mix remains fairly likely and widespread, but as we head through the afternoon hours, the precipitation becomes more scattered in nature for most, with the exception of the south shore where lake effect snow thanks to winds now out of the north is just getting started. Temperatures climb into the mid and upper 30s across the Northland.
Tonight: Snow wraps up for most through the overnight hours, with the exception of the South Shore snowbelt, where they still have several more hours to go. All said and done, most are looking at an additional T-3″ before wrapping up tonight. Otherwise, elsewhere across the Northland, partly to mostly cloudy skies prevail as temperatures fall back into the 20s and lower 30s across the area.
Friday: Throughout the day Friday, skies clear slowly with partly to mostly cloudy skies prevailing for a good portion of the day for most of the region. The south shore, generally from Ashland points east, still has more snow to go, thanks to some help from Lake Superior. Temperatures make it into the 30 and lower 40s across the area.
Coming up: After this messy system, we look to have a pretty nice spring-like weekend ahead of us. Meteorologist Peter Kvietkauskas will talk about that and when we may crack 50 again coming up on CBS 3 This Morning. Join us!
