DULUTH, MN. (KBJR) - A trial date is set for the Duluth firefighter accused of attacking a woman on a hiking trail.

Conrad Sunde pleaded not guilty to Third Degree Assault.

Monday, a judge set his jury trial for April 5.

The alleged attack happened in July, 2020.

According to the criminal complaint, the 65-year-old victim was startled by Sunde and three off-leash dogs while running on a West Duluth trail.

The victim told police she asked Sunde to leash his dogs.

He allegedly called her names.

Police say when the victim took out her phone to get a picture, he assaulted her, breaking her nose.
