Eye on Lifestyle: Delicious dinner fundraiser for a special service

DULUTH, MN. (CBS 3 Duluth) - Many will eat corned beef and cabbage for dinner as they celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, but this Friday you can change your menu to salmon for a good cause.

In Monday’s Eye on Lifestyle segment, Nikki Karnowski joined Jenna Wells on CBS 3 This Morning to discuss an upcoming fundraiser in the Northland.

Star of the North Maternity Home is hosting a fundraising salmon dinner on Friday, March 18, at 5:30 p.m.

The event is at St. James Catholic Church in Duluth. It will feature a short program, a full-course dinner and dessert, and live music.

Star of the North Maternity Home provides housing and services for pregnant women in need of housing.

It provides a safe place where they can gain valuable skills and work on becoming independent.

The salmon dinner fundraiser comes as Star of the North prepares to open a new maternity home on the Iron Range next month.
