M.I.B. and Ely move onto Section 7A Finals, Esko and Proctor drop in section semifinals
DULUTH, MN. (CBS3 Duluth) - March Madness has arrived in the Northland and for some teams it’s here to stay. Survive and advance in the name of the game ahead of the Section 7A and section 7AA girl’s basketball semifinals.
UMD hosted the Section 7A semifinals where two teams earned their tickets to the finals.
(1) Mountain Iron-Buhl 90 (4) Chisholm 28
(2) Cromwell-Wright 52 (6) Ely 45
The Rangers and Cardinals will meet for the Section 7A Championship Friday night back in Romano Gymnasium at 5 pm.
Hermantown High School hosted the Section 7AA semifinals where two more teams earned their spots in the championship.
(1) Pequot Lakes 57 (4) Proctor 45
(3) Pierz 48 (2) Esko 42
The Patriots and Pioneers will face one another in the Section 7AA Finals Friday night in Romano at 7:30 pm.
