UMD Theatre performs comedic classic twist, “The School for Lies”

DULUTH, MN. (CBS 3 Duluth) - UMD Theatre is putting on their newest performance, which aims to embrace modern-day realities while honoring the original version.

“The School for Lies” is a witty twist of a French classic.

Kelly Solberg and Ian Wallin joined CBS 3′s Jenna Wells Thursday morning to talk about the show.

“The School for Lies” is an adaptation of Molière’s “Le Misanthrope.”

The play is in a rhyme scheme, but it is in a modern language easy to understand.

You can watch UMD’s [erformance of “The School for Lies” February 4 & 5 and February 9-12.

Those shows start at 7:30 p.m.

There is also a performance on Sunday, February 6, at 2 p.m. which will be ASL interpreted.

Showings will be at the Marshall Performing Arts Center.
