Family loses home in West Duluth fire

DULUTH, MN. (KBJR) - A West Duluth family is without a home after a fire Wednesday afternoon.

Flames broke out in the basement of a house on South 65th Avenue West.

Investigators say they eventually spread to the first floor.

The family inside made it out safely, but there’s so much damage the house was condemned.

The Red Cross is helping them find a place to stay.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
