Ashland, WI- The city is currently under a snow emergency until Thursday morning at 6 a.m. This means that residents may not park on city streets during that time. Once the emergency is lifted even/odd side parking will resume. The no parking at 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. rule downtown will remain in effect. To sign up for Ashland area weather alerts, click here.

Ely, MN- City leaders are warning residents about a phone scam going around. The Ely Utilities Billing office has been receiving several calls from residents about Xcel Energy threatening to turn off their power. The Ely Utilities Center never calls customers about disconnections-they are notified by mail or a door tag. These calls are not from the city.

Ironwood, MI- The Historic Ironwood Theatre is reminding visitors of their mask policy before they reopen later this week. They are hosting their first Friday movie this week with a showing of “Iron Will”. Masks are required for all in attendance and ushers will be reminding guests. The mask requirement was put in place in early December based on recommendations due to COVID cases in Michigan.
