City by City: Silver Bay, Tower, Drummond

Silver Bay, MN- The Silver Bay Police Department, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota DNR plan to host a Snowmobile Safety class this Saturday. The class will run from 8 a.m. to noon, Jan. 8. Those ages 11 to 15 must register by Wednesday, Jan. 5. Snowmobiles will be provided but students are required to bring their own helmet. Registration is available via the Silver Bay City Hall.

Tower, MN- The Tower Economic Development Authority is looking for a family to partner with the North St. Louis County Habitat for Humanity to build a new home in the community. Families must be willing to invest 200 hours of volunteer time building their own or other homes in the region. The new homeowner will also have a 30-year mortgage. Drummond, WI- The Drummond Public Library is changing its entry guidelines. Library staff will continue to sanitize commonly used spaces such as areas around the computer, but limit the use to one hour per visit. Visitors are required to wear masks.
