Maple, WI- A local school building is extending their wifi services. Northwestern Middle School, part of the School District of Maple, wifi now extends throughout the parking lots and will be available 24/7 in the event families need access after hours. Students, staff, families and guests will be able to join the network. The School District of Maple, which covers over 500 square miles in Northern Wisconsin, made the expansion announcement this morning.

Gogebic County, MI- Recent legislature signed by Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer will be expanding certain county term limits. County Commissioner board members state-wide will begin to serve terms of four years starting in the 2024 voting cycle. Currently, their terms run concurrently with state representatives and voting happens every two years. Supporters of the legislation say they hope it helps county officials focus more on governing and less on election-year politics.

Minnesota- The Minnesota DNR is once again asking for community input. They are looking to update their electronic license system and are hoping for feedback from all who work with the licenses. Anglers, hunters or anyone who registrars a recreational vehicle is asked for feedback on the current system and thoughts on a new one. Additionally, those who sell the licenses are also asked for feedback. For more information, click here. Feedback is due January 31.
