Cloquet, MN - Community Memorial Hospital is launching new simulation technology that will greatly impact the region’s obstetric care. The new system will provide nurses and doctors with crucial training in the high-stress situations of childbirth. The launch of this technology comes on the heels of a University of Minnesota study that showed mothers in rural areas are nearly 10 percent more likely to die or experience serious complications in childbirth. The obstetrics simulator is the first of its kind to be implemented in the state of Minnesota.
