Sawyer County, WI- Jump River Electric Cooperative is planning a power outage for all customers in Sawyer County on December 14 at 11 p.m. The outage is a result of work on a transmission line that is replacing a 70 year old power line. Officials advise turning up your heat prior to the outage and blocking drafty windows and doors. Mountain Iron, MN- Range Association of Municipalities and Schools, RAMS, is hosting a webinar about Electric vehicle charging stations. The virtual meeting will be held Thursday, December 16 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The recently passed federal infrastructure bill has funding for rural EV stations. Minnesota- The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources became more inclusive this hunting season. Hunting and trapping regulations were previously only offered in English. Now they are available in Hmong, Karen, Somali or Spanish. The pamphlets are available online with some physical copies available in high-demand areas. Regulation booklets are free.
