DULUTH, MN. (CBS3 Duluth) - AMSOIL gearing up for a winter storm Sunday, but Saturday, we have hockey.

Bulldogs are hungry for the series sweep, but the Buckeyes had other plans. Liz Shepars puts the Buckeyes up 1-0 early in the first.

Ohio State is now up 2-0 and threatening, Lexi Templeman gets the long pass and fires the shot past Soderberg, and OSU jumps up 3-0 in the first.

Maura Crowell knew the Buckeyes would come out meaner and stronger, and boy did they ever. It’s yet another strike for the scarlet and grey with the massive 4-0 lead.

Bulldogs would eventually crack the armor of Amanda Thiele to add two goals late from Elizabeth Giguere and Gabbie Hughes.

The Buckeyes answer back on Saturday, splitting the series by a final score of 6-2.
