Duluth Winter Village returns this weekend, new location on Harbor Drive
DULUTH, MN. (CBS 3 Duluth) - It’s time to enjoy the spirit of the season along the shores of Superior. One of Duluth’s favorite holiday traditions is back this weekend, the Duluth Winter Village.
The outdoor market is happening Saturday and Sunday, but this year it has a new home on Harbor Drive, just behind the DECC.
Lucie Amundsen, the DECC’s director of communications, joined Jenna Wells on CBS 3 This Morning to talk more about the changes expected for this year.
The Duluth Winter Village is set up to echo a European-style winter village, with more than local small businesses selling their goods out of custom-built wooden cabins.
In addition to shopping, visitors can enjoy local food and beverages in a heated dining space, campfires, carolers, live animals, and new this year - free indoor ice skating at the DECC.
The event runs 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, December 4 and Sunday, December 5.
Ice skating is taking place from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on both days.
The event is free to attend. Parking is available at the DECC for $10 per vehicle.
