Chilly Friday gives way to some snow Saturday

DULUTH, MN. (CBS 3 Duluth) - This evening and tonight: The rest of this evening, we are cool as temperatures fall back from the 20s back into the teens. We’ll see the mostly sunny skies overhead through the rest of the evening as well. As we head towards tonight, we see the clouds increasing through the night, moving into the region from west to east.

Temperatures again are on their way down, falling back into the single digits. Winds are out of the northwest between 5-10 MPH.

Friday: We start Friday on a cool note, but we see temperatures begin the rebound through the afternoon hours. Temperatures make it into the low and mid-20s across the Northland. We start the day with more cloud cover but its decreases throughout the day, giving way to partly to mostly sunny skies overhead. Winds are out of the southeast between 5-10 MPH.

Saturday: We start the morning Saturday with some snow showers overhead that could linger for the afternoon. Snow totals look to be 1-2″ across most of the region, but the South Shore and U.P could see locally higher totals up to 5″ thanks to a bit of lake enhancement. Winds are out of the northwest between 5-10 MPH.
