WEATHER STORY:

Two little low pressure systems have a plan to pop some flurries across our region from now through Saturday. The first low will make a 20-30% chance for snow showers Wednesday night. Then, cool Canadian air will deliver a brisk but sunny Thanksgiving Thursday. The second low will bring back clouds on Friday and nudge temperatures up a little. That second low will then drop another 30% chance for snow showers on Saturday. After that, it will dry up again for a few days.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT:

The sky will become mostly cloudy as a low tracks to our northeast. The chance for light snow will be 20% in MN and 30% for WI and MI. Snow totals will be merely a trace for MN and most of WI. The Snowbelt of the South Shore, though, could go an inch or two. The low temperature will be near 10. The wind will be N 10-20 mph.

THURSDAY:

We will be in between two lows so the default setting on the sky will be mostly sunny. The afternoon high will be near 20 which is cooler than normal even for this time of year. The wind will be NW 5-15 mph.

FRIDAY:

The second low pressure system from the southwest will push clouds back to the Northland. The sky will be mostly cloudy but precip should hold off. The morning low will be 10 and the high will be 27 in the afternoon. The wind will be SE 5-15 mph.

COMING UP:

Saturday’s sky will stay cloudy thanks to the second low and this time, there will be another 30% chance for light snow. Sunday to next Tuesday will be partly sunny and dry. Another light snow chance pops up next Wednesday. After the cool down of Thursday and Friday, temperatures will run 30-35 for highs Saturday to Wednesday. The lows will go 20-23 during the same period.
