GoFundMe created for victims in fatal Iron Range crash

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MN -- A GoFundMe has been created to help support the surviving members of an Iron Range family after two people died in the car crash Thursday.

On November 11, Betty Smith, 32, of Aurora, and her son Dakota Smith, 11, died and several others were hurt in a four-vehicle crash.

Smith’s two other children were taken to the hospital, one with life-threatening injuries.

The money raised from the GoFundMe will go to Betty Smith’s surviving family to help with expenses arising from the crash, as well as make sure Betty and Dakota are properly laid to rest.
