DULUTH, MN. (CBS) - The UMD football team claimed a 49-35 win over Northern State to claim a share of the NSIC title.

Armani Carmickle finished with 184 yards on eight catches for two touchdowns. Cazz Martin added 194 yards and two touchdowns on the ground to lead the Bulldog offense.

“It’s an emotional win for us, we knew we had to come out and play a good Northern State team. Proud of the way our guys have played all year, I think we’re playing some of our best football at the end of the season. For all of our seniors that came back for their sixth season, those guys came back for us for an opportunity to be in the national playoffs, we’ve got a lot of these guys that haven’t been in this position before, so we’ll cross our fingers and see where we end up,” said head coach Curt Wiese.

UMD will now await their fate in the NCAA DII Selection show at 4:00p.m. on Sunday, November 14.
