Parkland, WI- The Sixth Annual Parkland Community Holiday Expo is here. More than 30 crafters and vendors will be present at the event with quality hand-made items, selling everything from baked goods to Christmas wreaths. There will also be multilpe raffles at the expos guests can enter by donating a pair of mittens, gloves or a hat to the students of Lake Superior Elementary. The expo will be held Saturday at the Parkland Town Hall from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Ashland, WI- Schools in the Ashland area did their part on Thursday to honor those who have served. Ashland High School’s Veterans Day program began with the Fifth Annual Veterans Day Breakfast and concluded with a ceremony honoring specific community veterans. Butternut High School also held an honorary Veterans Day program, and the students at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic School honored vets by putting on a performance for them Thursday afternoon.

Duluth, MN- The St. Louis Historical Society will present its Fourth Annual Native American Heritage Day in the Great Hall of the Duluth Depot. The event will include the celebration of local Ojibwe history and culture as well as the unveiling of a new exhibit in the Fesler Galleries. The event will also feature several fun activities for kids, such as a drum building lesson and a lacrosse demonstration. The Native American Heritage Day celebration will take place Saturday, November 13 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
