Iron River, WI- While golfing season may be over, crowds will flock to the Northern Pines Golf Course this weekend for the Fall Harvest vendor show. Guests can get a jump on their holiday shopping courtesy of over 20 local vendors. Visitors will also have the opportunity to win cash prizes, and organizers will be serving up food and full bar to round out the experience. The Fall Harvest Vendor show will take place on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Superior, WI- Superior Public Museums are doing their part to ensure that the holiday season is for everyone. A loud and crowded mall can be a disturbing environment for kids with autism and other special needs. So the Fairlawn Mansion and Museum is offering a private, customized family visit with Santa. From Tuesday through Thursday evening, families can schedule a free 30-minute visit with Santa. For information on how to register, click here. (link)

Two Harbors, MN- Wednesday marks 46 years since the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. Organizers at the Split Rock Lighthouse in Silver Bay will be honoring the lives lost in the shipwreck from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Costumed interpreters will be offering lessons on the Great Lakes’ maritime history, and films about the Edmund Fitzgerald will be shown through the afternoon. At 4:30 p.m., the lighthouse will temporarily shut down to tours, as the names of the 29 crew members who lost their lives are read while a ship’s bell tolls. There will be an in-person ceremony with a livestream available online.
