DULUTH, MN. (KBJR) -Selection Monday continued at UW-Superior as the men learned their matchup after their 5th straight UMAC title.

The Yellowjackets will be heading to the Windy City of Chicago to dance with the third-ranked team in Division III facing the Washington University Bears.

The Jackets are a team that has battled through long odds and adversity all season. Yet, their one goal has remained, from starting the season 0-3 to winning their conference championship game while being a man down in the final 10 minutes.

“At the end of the day, there are 22 guys on the field, and whoever performs the best out of that will win, so regardless of ranking, you’ve seen upsets in the professional world and collegiate world. Even in other sports, basketball, football, so it’s happened before, so there’s no reason why we can’t do that,” said Wilson.

“I’ll say this; we are not a participant in this tournament; that is not what we are going there to be about. We are going there for one reason; it is to try to win,” said Mooney.

The survivors of round one in this four-team regional will also move onto the sectional round on November 19-21.
