Need Halloween plans? ‘Trunk or Treat’ returns to Canal Park
DULUTH, MN. (CBS 3 Duluth) - DULUTH, MN -- Thousands of people are expected to show up for this year’s Trunk or Treat event in Canal Park.
Neighborhood Youth Services is hosting the free event Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Around 50 to 60 vendors will be lined up in the Lake City Lot passing out candy to kids who can dress up in costumes.
The Lake City Lot is next to Little Angies by the hotels.
Local businesses, schools, and organizations in the community can host a trunk and give out candy to kids.
Program Director for Neighborhood Youth Services Pez Davila said this is a great way to get people connected with various resources in the community and help kids safely celebrate Halloween.
“It’s just a good time for people to learn about different resources around the area as well,” Davila said.
Event Coordinator Mike Letica said everyone from across the Northland is welcome.
“It’s for anyone who can hear this,” Letica said. “If you want to come down from the Range or Superior or wherever. It’s for everybody. The more we have there the happier we are and the vendors are as well. We’re really welcoming everybody to come on down to this event.”
Event organizers said plenty of free parking will be available.
