Hohol strikes out four, Bulldogs drop first game in NCAA Super Regions
The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) Women's softball team made history by making its first-ever appearance in the NCAA Division II Super Region on Thursday in Arkansas.
The Bulldogs fell to No. 8 Southern Arkansas in a pitching duel, 1-0.
Valerie Hohol went 6.0 innings on Thursday, giving up four hits, and striking out four batters.
The Bulldogs bats were unable to get hot despite the four hits the team put up.
UMD and Southern Arkansas will continue the best-of-three series on Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. CST. Should a third game be needed, it would be played following game two.
