Two Hibbing men, including convicted felon, arrested after alleged kidnapping
Two men are waiting to be formally charged after allegedly holding a man hostage late Wednesday afternoon.
According to authorities, officers were called to a home on 2nd Avenue West in Hibbing after a woman called to say her boyfriend, Joseph Wilson, was being held against his will.
Police say Wilson was reportedly brought into the basement by a man who then accused him of not completing a brake job.
The man then showed a gun and pointed it at Wilson, who was then escorted out of the basement and told to tell his girlfriend to leave since he "wasn't going anywhere".
Wilson told his girlfriend to leave, and was able to escape shortly after.
He met up with officers, who later arrested the suspects without incident.
Antwon McCune, 22, is facing charges of first degree robbery, kidnapping and false imprisonment, second degree assault with a dangerous weapon, and assault with terrorist threats.
He has been convicted of felony charges in the past, including aiding an offender, possessing marijuana, as well as owning/possessing machine guns and short barreled shotguns.
A 28-year-old man could face charges of first degree robbery and kidnapping and false imprisonment.
